BAVARIA silk yarn (1000m) NM 100/3 dark green

The BAVARIA silk from Kupfer is of the highest quality. The process of making sheep silk begins with the extraction of the threads spun by silkworms. After raw material removal, the daphne is removed, followed by cleaning and combing processes of the thread material. The Schappe spinning process is used to spin the comb into yarn, which is then twisted and dyed. The end product is a sewing silk that meets the highest requirements both as a working material and as a seam.

The silk sewing thread BAVARIA-Seide is only offered by the manufacturer Kupfer (founded in 1878) in the version BAVARIA-Seide No. 100/3. The designation also stands for the strength: Nm 100/3. This type of sewing thread should be used with a size 70 needle. The yarn offered here on a cardboard roll has a length of 1,000 m. The BAVARIA silk is, for example, well suited for elastic seams and closing seams, even on leather clothing and fur fashion.
